PHYSICIAN INFORMATION
1. Outpatient Preps. Please click here to view.
2. Patients Taking Glucophage (Metformin) and Scheduled for Iodinated Contrast Studies. Normal renal function should be assured by the referring physician at 48 hours after the procedure. If renal function is adequate based on laboratory tests at 48 hours, Glucophage may be restarted. Procedures such as arthrography and myelography which need small amounts of contrast may usually be performed without having to stop Glucophage before or after the procedure, provided no other contraindications exist.
